On Tuesday, October 23, 2012, the Blades Volunteer Fire Company hosed the Sussex County Volunteer Firefighter's Association 13th Annual Joint Installation of Officers.

Indian River’s Chief Steven C. Deery, Jr. was installed as the incoming 3rd Assistant Vice President for the 2012-2013 term of office.
