Fire Prevention Activities The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company continued its annual educational and recreational fire prevention program for the students attending the Oak Orchard-Riverdale Boys & Girls Club in order to enhance awareness of fire prevention safety precautions. These activities include various fire prevention awareness techniques, questions & answer sessions with firefighters, and actively participating in simulated fire prevention awareness measures. Illustrated below are some additional fire safety tips out for kids and families! • Develop an escape plan • Install smoke detectors in every sleeping room, outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home and check the batteries often • Install fire sprinklers throughout your house • Once you’re out, stay out! Do not re-enter a burning building • Practice your home fire escape plan twice a year. Illustrated herewith are various photographs of initiatives utilized by the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company. |
