Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

On July 3, 2020, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, Sussex County Paramedics, the Delaware State Police (ground and aviation units) as well as the local emergency service provider were alerted for a vehicle accident involving a golf cart on Pinebrine Road in the Pot-Nets Bayside development.
 

Emergency response units from the Indian River included Rescue 80 and Command 80 from the Oak Orchard area, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.

It was reported to be a golf cart that had been struck by a vehicle, with the golf cart being rolled over. Witnesses stated the golf cart was attempting a u-turn when it was struck by a vehicle. After striking the golf cart, the vehicle then fled the scene.

One person was transported to nearby medical facilities with non-life threating injuries. The aviation unit was canceled, per EMS units on scene.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
