Thursday October, 18 2012 Nature: Sussex County Fire Chiefs' Association Award Presentation Address: Dagsboro, Dela. On Thursday, October 18th, State Representative John C. Atkins – 41st District and Indian River’s President – Patrick C. Miller presented the Sussex County Fire Chiefs Association President Steven C. Deery, Jr. with a recognition award for his tenure and distinguished service to the organization while representing the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company. Steven C. Deery, Jr. presided over his last meeting of the Sussex County Fire Chiefs Association in Dagsboro, Delaware on October 18th. Steven has served in the following capacity for the Fire Chiefs’ Association: President – November, 2011 thru October, 2012; 1st Vice President – November, 2010 thru October, 2011; and 2nd Vice President – November, 2009 thru October, 2010. Steven was presented with custom made service recognition illuminated plague that included an acrylic Maltese cross that was inscribed with the following “Indian River Volunteer Fire Company presents President Steven C. Deery, Jr. 2012” and a brass bulge. This plague was custom made by the graphic arts sign company of Rogers Signs, Inc. of Milton, DE. The Honorable 41st State District Representative John C. Atkins and the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company congratulated Steven Deery for his dedicated service and diligence to the organization. |
