Friday October, 12 2012 @ 14:44:55 Nature: Vehicle Fire Location: Sherwood Forest North Address: Tucks Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Friday afternoon, October 12th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on Tucks Road in the Sherwood Forest North development off of John J. Williams Highway. It was reported to be a fire located in the passenger and engine compartment. Emergency response units included Engine #80-1 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility. It appears that the Ford F-150 Pick-up was in tow and loaded onto a low-boy for transportation. The fire was contained and extinguished by a garden hose prior to the arrival of emergency response apparatus. Emergency response assignments were to evaluate for additional extensions and to ensure extinguishment. The Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating.
