Thursday September, 27 2012 Nature: Line of Duty Death – Justin E. Townsend – Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department (73) On Thursday, September 27th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company learned of a tragic death of a volunteer firefighter in the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Company (Station 73) in Sussex County, Delaware. On behalf of the Officers and Members of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, we extend our deepest sympathies to the families, friends, and members of the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Company on the passing of their Junior Member and brother firefighter, Justin E. Townsend It is with sadness that we ask our communities to keep the Townsend family and the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department in their thoughts and prayers during these difficult times that the Dagsboro community is experiencing.
