Sussex County Board of Adjustment Approves Variance Request On Monday evening, September 24, 2012, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company petitioned the Sussex County Board of Adjustment for a side yard setback variance in order to construct a facility renovation to enlarge the existing pantry and install walk-in refrigerator and freezer. The Public Hearing Forum was held in accordance to requirements of the Sussex County Ordinances and various evidence was provided in the form of testimony, exhibits, and formal applications as well as letters of support. The Sussex County Board of Adjustments voted 5-0 to accept the recommendation and approved the variance application. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to acknowledge the letters of support submitted on behalf of this project.
