Sunday September, 2 2012 @ 12:30:56 Nature: Vehicle Accident BLS Address: Kickin Chicken (John J. Williams Highway) Millsboro, 19966 On Sunday afternoon, September 2nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Kickin Chicken. It was reported to be a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles. Emergency response apparatus included Engines #80-5 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility. All response apparatus were cancelled while enroute to the incident. It appears that a red sedan and a white Buick sedan collided for an unknown reason. Both vehicles were off of the roadway and the local emergency medical services (EMS) provider was performing the initial stages of vehicle occupant assessments in order to facilitate EMS refusals of additional medical observations. The Buick suffered driver’s side front end damage and the other vehicle appeared to suffer rear and side damaged. The Delaware State Police are investigating. |
