Nature: Structure Fire – Assist Lewes Fire Company

Location: 16 Chesterfield Dr., Rolling Meadows, Lewes, DE 19958

 

On Monday afternoon, May 11th, the Indian River (80), Milton (85), and Rehoboth Beach (86) volunteer fire companies were alerted to assist the Lewes (82) Fire Department with a reported structure fire on Chesterfield Drive in the Rolling Meadows development.  It was reported to have smoke coming the eaves of the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included reporting the manpower pool for additional assignments and providing an engine crew in preparation of additional emergency incidents with the Lewes Fire District.

Initial arriving emergency crews identified a residential structure with smoke coming from the eaves of the residential structure.  It was determined to be an incident in the attic area of the structure.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating.
