Nature: Allen Harim Chicken Truck Load Sale
Location: Oak Orchard Road, Millsboro, DE 19966
On Wednesday, April 29th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hosted as a “community service event” with the opportunity for people to acquire fresh chicken products directly from the poultry processer – Allen Harim.
The poultry processor had contacted the Sussex County Volunteer Firefighter’s Association and offered to partner with the fire companies to sell truck loads of fresh chicken products. The following choices of chicken were available:

Three case limit per customer;
-
No cases are or will be mixed;
-
All cases are 40 lbs. and are fresh products which includes but not limited to:
-
Boneless breasts;
-
Wings;
-
Tenders;
-
Whole birds;
-
Drums; and
-
Leg Quarters.
The sale commenced at 8 a.m. and lasted until supplies were sold out.
The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company distributed fire prevention and safety informational material to more than 200 persons during this community service event.
The Delaware Department of Transportation was available and provided assistance with traffic control and product distribution during this event.
The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank all of the patrons and volunteers that made this event possible and run so smoothly.
