Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm

Address: 33558 Windswept Dr., Peninsula, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday evening, July 10th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm incident at 33558 Windswept Drive, Building #1, in the Peninsula off of Bay Farm Road.

This incident resulted in Ladder 80 and Engine #80-2 responding from the Oak Orchard facility as well as Engine 80-3 responding from the Long Neck facility under the direction of Duty Officer Jason M. Faulkner, Sr.

Emergency response crews were assigned to investigate the interior conditions of the structure.

All of the occupants of the structure vacated the building.

The reason for the alarm was unfounded.

The alarm systems were reset and incident was cleared.
