Nature: Alarm Company

Location: Best ACE Hardware Address: 32362 Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday morning, June 1st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm incident at Best ACE Hardware off of Long Neck Road.

Emergency incident response included Incident Command and Engines #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as Ladder 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crews were assigned to evaluate the interior and exterior of the facility to ascertain the cause of the incident.

There were no visible signs of concern upon arrival of Indian River’s Duty Officer – Ryan Mock.

After evaluation of the situation, it was determined to be a malfunctioning alarm issue.
