Nature: Firehouse Duties & Activities Continue

On Saturday morning May 12th, the volunteers of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company continued to prep for the pending Sunday morning Mother’s Day Breakfast Buffet as well coordinating the activities associated with a pending flower sale, discount card sale, and fund drive solicitation receipt accounting.

These events were are coordinated effort between the Ladies Auxiliary and the volunteer firefighters that traditionally collaborate for these functions multiple times throughout the year.

Activities included: food preparation for creamed chip beef, slicing and dicing potatoes, slicing scrapple, table set-up and organization of dining hall, acceptance of delivery for fresh commodities (eggs, bacon, scrapple, sausage, etc.), delivery and set-up of flower sale arrangements, and many other activities.

Indian River continues to offer these fund-raising events to our community in an effort to enhance community awareness and generate opportunity funds for the volunteer fire company.

Time of events will be 7:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Location: These events are held at Station 1 - 32628 Oak Orchard Road.

Price will be $8 per person with children prices (4-12 years of age) - $3.50 and children under 3 free

Children – (5-11 years of age) - $6.00 (under 4) – free of charge
