Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Plaza Dr., Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday morning, January 23^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at the intersection of Plaza Drive.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision with minor injuries with fluid and debris in the roadway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recover as well as overall incident mitigation.  The local emergency medical services provider did transport one patient to nearby medical facilities.

It appears that a Ford compact car was traveling west on John J. Williams Highway and struck the rear of a Cadillac Escalade causing damage to both vehicles. 

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic flow through the incident location.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
