Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 30237 Mount Joy Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday evening, January 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Mount Joy Road involving a single vehicle rollover incident.  It was reported that the driver encountered some type of medical condition.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery as well as overall incident mitigation activities.

It appears that Jeep SUV was traveling on Mount Joy Road and loss control for an unknown reason and rollover causing significant damage to the vehicle and injury to the occupant.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
