Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Bay Farm Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday evening, December 17th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at the intersection of Bay Farm Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation. 

It appears that a blue Honda CRV was attempting to access Bay Farm Road and a silver Ford Escape was traveling eastbound on John J. Williams Highway when the collision occurred.  The Ford suffered right front-end damage and the Honda suffered right rear end damage.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.  Access to Bay Farm Road was limited during the incident mitigation process.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
