Coastal Storms within Indian River's fire district January 25, 2000 The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company shares the information that is maintained by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control via its web site located at: http://www.dnrec.state.de.us/soil/CoastStorm/Default.htm The Storm of January 25, 2000 was relatively moderate in terms of flooding and beach erosion, however it did dump 8 to 10 inches of snow over most of Delaware. The illustrated photograph is located at Chief’s Road and River Road facing west toward Short’s Marine on River Road. Road 312 in Oak Orchard is flooded around the time of high tide. |
