Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm

Address: 5 Arrowhead Trail, Indian Summer Village, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday, January 31st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire incident at #5 Arrowhead Trail in the Indian Summer Village development.

Emergency response units include Engine #80-1 from our Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from our Long Neck facility.

Engine #80-1 arrived and determined that the residential structure had a light smoke condition present.

Engine #80-3 was requested to assist with an internal evaluation and initiate natural ventilation measures.

The cause of the incident was determined to be improper utilization of a fireplace damper.
