Nature: Medical Alliance Training & Awareness

On Wednesday evening, January 25^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company coordinated and developed a collaborative training partnership with the Delaware State Fire School, the Sussex County Paramedics, as well as the local emergency service provider to enhance and fine tune the working relations with pre-hospital emergency service entities.

The overall objective of the training was to familiarize oneself with various pre-hospital EMS services, and activities which including:  patient stabilization and backboarding; patient extrication measures using lifting and patient movement that promotes stabilization; and other exercises to become familiar with various equipment and apparatus.
