Nature: Gas Leak

On Wednesday morning, October 30^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was clearing from an earlier incident and was alerted for a gas leak or odor investigation at Unit #10 of Silicato Drive behind the Wawa on John J. Williams Highway. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  The local emergency medical service provider was also requested to the incident location for evaluation and discussion with building occupants.

Emergency response unit assignments included ventilation and evaluation of the facility to ascertain interior meter readings for gas and other conditions.

It appears that the facility encountered an odor that cannot be fully determined and all the readings were inconclusive.
