Nature: Indian River Participates with Easter Seals Walk With Me Event

On Sunday, October 13, 2019, the Fire Prevention Committee from Indian River VFC attended the Easter Seals - Walk With Me Event at Baywood Greens.

The Walk With Me Campaign is an Easter Seals event that is different… and so will you be at the end of it.  When you sign up for event, you’ll be partnered with an Easter Seals Honorary Ambassador, a child or adult with a disability who has benefited from our services. You’ll get to know your ambassador through photos and personal stories, and you’ll get to meet them on the day of the walk!  Consider gathering friends and coworkers to form a team, or sponsor a walker by making a donation.  Every dollar raised stays here in our community, helping Easter Seals provide services and support for your friends, family and neighbors with disabilities… because everyone deserves to live with equality, dignity and independence. 

Indian River hosted a fire prevention booth at the Easter Seals - Walk With Me event. There were several handouts from Indian River’s Fire Prevention Booth as well as Rescue 80 being on display. The Delaware State Police Trooper 2 Aviation Unit also attended the event.
