Fire Prevention is not just a week long process but rather it is a year-round process that should be taken seriously.
Indian River’s Fire Prevention Committee has worked diligently to develop a successful fire prevention program and strives to enhance fire safety and fire prevention throughout.
As of September 30, 2019, Indian River has distributed approximately 375 smoke detectors and has partnered with the American Red Cross to inspect and install working smoke alarms in residential households. The spread word efforts via homeowners association, church meetings, community meetings, and others have been well received and sought after.
