Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Hollymount Rd and John J Williams Highway, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday, September 26^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Holly Mount Road.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision with the possibly of one patient to be transported to nearby medical facilities.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Ladder 80 and Brush #80-00 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization where needed, patient stabilization where needed, traffic control, and fluid and debris recovery. 

It appears that a black Dodge Charger was attempting to access John J. Williams Highway from Holly Mount Road and did not remain stopped at the intersection pulling into the path white Ford Focus causing damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.  John J. Williams Highway was closed to through traffic.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
