Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Long Neck Rd. and John J Williams Hwy., Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday morning, September 26, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Long Neck Road and John J. Williams Highway.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision with possibly of two patients.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Ladder 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Incident Command 80 and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, assistance with patient care if needed, fluid and debris recovery and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a Honda Spyder compact car and a Chevrolet S-10 Pick Up collided at the intersection causing damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
