Nature: Outside Fire

Location: 31860 Schooner Dr., River Village, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday, September 25th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an outside fire incident on Schooner Drive in the River Village development off Oak Orchard Road. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Brush #80-0 from the Long Neck facility, Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included fire suppression and protection of exposures which included two sheds or storage buildings and a boat stored in the yard.

It appears that a residential location utilized an outside burn barrel and ignited a fire and left it unattended.  The area surrounding the burn barrel caught fire spreading to nearby tire and neighbor's yard with potential exposures of two sheds and boat.
