Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Maryland Camp Rd and Mount Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday afternoon, September 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Maryland Camp Road and Mount Joy Road.  It was reported to be a two collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Chief 80-15 from the Oak Orchard area, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery as well as incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a black compact sedan was traveling on Mount Joy Road attempting to turn onto Maryland Camp Road in from the blue Ford Escape causing the collision.  Both vehicles sustained significant damage.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
