Monday November, 14 2011 @ 12:23:43 Nature: House Fire Address: 34651 Deck St Millsboro, DE 19966 On Monday afternoon, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a house fire on Deck Street in the Pot Nets Bayside development off of Long Neck Road. Emergency response units included Engine #80-1 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility. An ambulance response from the Lewes Fire Department (Station #82) was required to evaluate the occupants of the residential structure. The incident was determined to be inattentative cooking of some type of cereal cake in the oven. The structure was ventilated with natural ventilation methods and no additional emergency medical services were needed.
