Thursday November, 10 2011 @ 03:18:19 Nature: Service Call – Assist Delaware State Police - Search Address: 34770 BREAKERS ST Millsboro, DE 19966 On Thursday morning, November 10th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Delaware State Police on a search in the Pot Nets Bayside development off of Long Neck Road. The nature of the search was to locate a 22 year old woman. The incident response resources were coordinated by Indian River's Duty Officer Hayden Klingler. Emergency response units included: Incident Command 80; Rescue 80; Engine 80-1; Engine #80-3; Brush 80-0; Brush 80-00; Utility 80; Polaris 80 and the Delaware State Fire Police. Upon arrival at the residential location, units were apprised of the search criteria, search patterns, and designated sectors and provided with appropriate descriptions, thermal imaging cameras, spot lights, etc. to commence their tasks. All of the ponds, bike paths, shoreline and recreational areas were evaluated. The weather conditions included favorable temperatures but heavy, dense fog made visibility difficult and some areas of the search patterns required foot patrol efforts. At approximately 4:30 a.m., the Delaware State Police located the individual and called off the search criteria. All emergency personnel were permitted to return to their designated stations.
