Saturday November, 5 2011 @ 19:56:06 Nature: Water Rescue Priority Location: Rehoboth Bay – Water Rescue Address: 38 40'14.17"n and 075 06'30.93"wRehoboth Bay Millsboro, 19966 On Saturday evening, November 5th the Rehoboth Beach, Indian River and Bethany Beach fire companies were alerted for a water rescue priority incident regarding an overdue kayak. It was reported that the last known conversation with the kayak was approximately 12 noon. The various marine units were launched and attempted to coordinate a search pattern in the Rehoboth Bay vicinity. These efforts were assisted with the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit (Trooper #2). All search patterns were unsucessful and cancelled approximately 1.5 hours in to the incident due to conditions.
