Nature: Fire Prevention Community Outreach Effort

On Sunday, August 11^th, Indian River’s Fire Prevention Community Outreach Initiative attended the Community Church of Oak Orchard to attend, instruct, distribute, and provide educational material on various fire prevention and safety initiatives.

These efforts permitted the distribution of fire prevention and safety information, disseminated smoke detectors, and scheduled opportunities to perform a home inspection with smoke detector installations.  Over the hour, the outreach initiative contacted 104 people (70 adults and 34 children) and distributed eighteen (18) smoke detectors

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company acknowledges the efforts of the Community Church of Oak Orchard to make this event possible.
