Nature: Prearranged Standby Assignment – Memorial (89) Fire Company

Location: Slaughter Beach, DE

On Saturday evening, August 10th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Odessa (24) Volunteer Fire Company provided a prearranged standby for the Memorial (89) Volunteer Fire Company of Slaughter Beach.

Indian River provided a rescue company and Odessa provided an engine-tanker company for event.  The time of the assignment was 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

There were no incident alarms or alarm activity delegated to this assignment.

The primary purpose of the event was to provide an opportunity for Memorial Fire Company to recognize its volunteer fire company and ladies auxiliary personnel as well as promote camaraderie and fellowship amongst its personnel.
