Friday September, 30 2011 @ 17:22:11 Nature: Elevator/Escalator Rescue Location: Peninsula @ Long Neck, LLC Address: 26370 - 26485 Bay Farm Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Friday evening, September 30th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an elevator rescue incident off Bay Farm Road in the Peninsula development. Engine #80-3 responded to the incident to identify the concern, evaluate and develop a course of action. It was reported that an elderly male subject was contained in an elevator for approximately 45 minutes prior to the alerting the emergency service entities. A property management representative was able to gain access and open the elevator prior to arrival of emergency response apparatus and the elevator occupant was able to refuse additional evaluation or services.
