Nature: Oak Orchard-Riverdale Fall Festival
Address: American Legion Post #28
On Monday, September 26th, the Oak Orchard-Riverdale Fall Festival commenced with its annual carnival and fair style activities. This is the brain-child of James Gallagher, Post Commander of the American Legion Post #28 and member of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company. Its overall intent is to foster favorable community relations for the aforementioned entities.
This year’s event will host amusement style rides and games; food and refreshments from various vendors including the auxiliaries of the American Legion and fire company; Bar BINGO on Friday & Saturday evenings; Hot Dog Eating Contest on Saturday; dunk in’ booth and various other events.
The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company will be selling its fire company t-shirts including the “Indian River Cares Enough to Wear Pink” breast cancer awareness shirt campaign with the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
