These members attended the Memorial Ceremonies on the Capital Green as well as participated in the 9/11 Stair Climb at the Monster Mile in order to commemorate the 343 New York City firefighters who lost their lives in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Each firefighter participant from the State of Delaware was asked to climb 110 flights of stairs during this commemorative experience. Each participant in the stair climb wore a picture of one of the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on that fateful day. Illustrated below are various photographs of Indian River’s representation at these events. |
