Sunday September, 11 2011 @ 15:34:31 Nature: Vehicle Accident BLS Address: John J Williams Hwy & Indian Mission Road, Millsboro, DE 19966 On Sunday afternoon, September 11th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway, Indian Mission and Long Neck Roads. It was reported via the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center that the incident include a two vehicle collision with one vehicle in the roadway. Emergency response units include Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility. Engine #80-5’s Apparatus Officer was Ryan Mock who coordinated incident command and requested that the emergency response units provide vehicle stabilization; assist with patient stabilization, if needed; and provide traffic control measures for the duration of the incident. It appears that a blue Saturn SUV and a black Ford F150 Pickup collided at the intersection. The Delaware State Fire Police were responsible for coordinated traffic control measures during the incident. The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident. Firemen from Indian River and Oak Orchard were called to the crash at the intersection of Route 24 and Indian Mission and Long Neck Roads around 3:30 p.m; police say a Saturn SUV and Ford F150 pickup collided. DSP Corporal Jeff Hale says there were no injuries in the crash.
