Saturday August, 27 2011 Nature: Storm Preparation Measures Continue @ Indian River On Saturday, August 27th, Indian River continued with its storm preparation initiatives which included apparatus relocation to the Sussex County Industrial Park for temporary storage, acquisition and delivery of temporary sleeping cots, acquisition and preparation of food for stand-by crews, acquisition and relocation of personal watercraft units as well as small inland bays vessels (aluminum john boats), etc. At approximately 11 a.m., Indian River commenced with stand-by crews at each facility (Oak Orchard & Long Neck) until further notice in order to respond and mitigate storm related incidents. Illustrated herewith are various photographs of the various preparation initiatives.
