Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: At the Entrance of Rehoboth Shores - Long Neck Rd & Goose Pond Rd.

Town:  Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday evening, April 17^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Goose Pond Road (Rehoboth Shores).  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police and the local emergency medical services provider.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, and traffic control on Long Neck Road. 

It appears that a gray Pontiac VIBE SUV and a red SAAB compact car collided at the intersection of Long Neck Road and Goose Pond Road.  The Pontiac sustained right front-end damage while the SAAB sustained right side rear-end damage.  Both vehicles were inoperable as a result of the Collison.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control in one lane for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
