Thursday July, 28 2011 @ 10:50:25 Nature: Vehicle Accident BLS Location: Parking lot Address: Giant Food Store On Thursday, July 28th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle accident at the entrance / access road to the SuperG store. The emergency response units from Indian River found a minor vehicle accident in the entrance access way to the parking lots of the corporate complex. It appears that blue Nissan type mini-van attempted to turn into the path of a red Kia type SUV. There were airbag deployments in the mini-van. Emergency response units were coordinated to provide vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization and scene clean-up tasks. One of the vehicle occupants were transported to nearby local medical facilities for an additional evaluation. The Delaware State Fire Police were utilized for traffic control and the Delaware State Police are investigating.
