On Friday evening, July 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded to two back-to-back electrical hazards associated with potential lightning strikes during a period of inclement weather.
Initially, Indian River was alerted for an odor investigation on Norris Street in the Leisure Point development off of Long Neck Road.
Duty Officer Ryan Mock identified that a recreational camper was impacted by lightning and requested an interior evaluation with the thermal imaging camera.
