Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 22 Powder Horn Lane Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971

Early Thursday morning, March 7, 2019, the Indian River (80) and Rehoboth Beach (86) fire companies were alerted to assist Lewes (82) Fire Department with a working structure fire on 22 Powder Horn Lane off of Coastal Highway near Midway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker (80) from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included fireground assistance where needed including fire suppression, fire overhaul, protection of exposures, overhaul, and clean-up.

Upon arrival of emergency response units, it was identified as a single wide manufactured home with additions and heavy fire and smoke showing.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
