Initial Dispatch for Station #77 (Georgetown) Sunday, June, 19 2011 @ 12:28:12 Nature: Woods Fire Address: 16980 - 18053 Seashore Hwy Georgetown, DE 19947 Dispatch for Station #80 (Indian River) Sunday June, 19 2011 @ 13:58:52 Nature: Woods Fire – Two Brush Truck Assist & Polaris UTV 80 Location: A Spotter Plane ITAO 2mi W/O 113 Address: 16980 - 18053 Seashore Hwy Georgetown, DE 19947 On Sunday, June 19th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company along with eleven (11) other fire companies were alerted to assist Georgetown Fire Company with a woods fire identified by a civil air patrol plane and reported the incident to authorities. Indian River’s emergency response units were directed to the scene location and provide specific assignments which include fire suppression for woods fire incident. Both brush trucks were utilized in different sectors of the incident as well was the UTV 80 (Polaris) unit. The incident location was identified as Asbury Road to Raccoon Ditch Road and follow northwest. Illustrated herewith are various photographs of the incident.
