Saturday May, 28 2011 @ 14:23:45 Nature: Traffic/TransportationAcdntBLS Location: Pot Nets Bayside in the area of the pool Address: 34800 - 34899 Clew St. & Port Road, Millsboro, DE 19966 On Sunday afternoon, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle collision at the intersection of Clew Street & Port Road in the Pot Nets Bayside development off of Long Neck Road. It was reported to be a minor vehicle collision. Engine #80-5 from our Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 from our Oak Orchard facility responded to the incident. Incident Command was established by Ryan Mock, Second Assistant Chief. Engine #80-5 was assigned to perform vehicle stabilization, assist with patient stabilization, and prepare for removal of the passenger compartment door. The incident synopsis illustrates that a two door silver Pontiac Solstice convertible was traveling down Port Road and collided with a four door black Chevrolet Cobalt causing the passenger side doors to become inoperable. Engine #80-5 & Rescue 80 was required to initiate extrication measures. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
