Friday May, 6 2011 @ 10:09:36 Nature: Wash down (Fuel Spill) Address: Plaza Dr & John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966 On Friday, May 6th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a wash down assignment as a result of a property damage vehicle collision at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Plaza Drive (entrance to Giant Foods). It appears that a black Isuzu SUV was traveling westbound on John J. Williams and rear-ended a blue Jeep Cherokee SUV at the intersection causing engine fluids to leak from the Isuzu onto the roadway surface. The incident caused a traffic issue while the clean up measures were being implemented. Engine #80-1 responded from our Oak Orchard facility. The Delaware State Fire Police assisted the Delaware State Police with traffic control.
