Indian River Bids Farewell to Lieutenant Jason M. Faulkner, Sr. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company coordinated the funeral and memorial services for the passing of Lt. Jason M. Faulkner, Sr. on behalf of the Faulkner, Bixby and King families. The services included the following: · Viewing 10 a. – 12 n. at the Mother Mary of Peace Church · Mass: 12 n. at the Mother Mary of Peace Church · Firefighter Last Call – Indian River Station #2 Banks Road · Interment: Veteran’s Cemetery · Reception – Indian River Station #1 Oak Orchard Road The funeral process included a lengthy processional of fire and EMS apparatus from atleast the following organizations: 80 – Indian River VFC; Sussex County Emergency Operations Center Command Post; Sussex County Technical Rescue; 91 – Mid Sussex Rescue Squad 88 – Selbyville VFC 79 – Gumboro VFC 70 – Bethany Beach VFC 73 – Dagsboro VFC 81 – Laurel VFC 23 – Wilmington Manor VFC 89 – Memorial VFC 82 – Lewes VFC Williards VFC 83 – Millsboro VFC 90 – Roxana 77 – Georgetown VFC As well as members of the Delaware State Fire Police. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company wishes to acknowledge and extend its gratitude to the participating companies, organizations, and businesses that assisted with these preparations, activities, and events.
