Monday March, 21 2011 @ 21:31:19 Nature: Gas Leak Address: 26561 Inlet Cove Millsboro, DE 19966 On Monday evening, March 21st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a gas leak inside a residential location at 26561 Inlet Cove, Pot Nets Lakeside off of Long Neck Road. Emergency response units requested the evacuation of the residential location due to the reported situation and possibly having children located inside the residence. Engine #80-3 arrived and initiate interior ventilation of the structure as well as monitoring the levels of gases within the residential structure. Engine #80-1 was assigned to assist the earlier engine crew with an additional gas detectors and thermal imaging cameras. Duty Officer Hayden Klingler coordinated the incident and requested the assistance of Rescue 80 to refill air bottles utilized with the self-contained breathing apparatus. The incident was placed under control and all returned to their respective station.
