Investigators: Massive Long Neck Apartment Complex Fire Ruled Arson

LONG NECK, Del.- Investigators have ruled as arson an early November fire that destroyed an apartment complex under construction in Long Neck.
The blaze happened the evening of Nov. 8 at the Carillon Woods Apartments, located in the 34000 block of Harvard Avenue near the intersection of Routes 24 and 5.
It took multiple fire companies several hours to get the fire under control. The fire caused an estimated $1.5 million in property damage. There were no reported injuries.
Authorities said the building was under construction and was designed to house 30 units.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal's investigated the fire and determined it was intentionally set and considered a criminal act of arson.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is requesting that anyone who may
have witnessed any activity during the aforementioned date and time to
