Nature: Property Damage Vehicle Accident – Banks Road

Location: Banks Road, Long Neck

On Thursday morning, November 15^th, volunteers of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company assisted a motorist in distress after a property damage vehicle accident occurred on Banks Road just down from the fire house. 

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was not alerted for this incident but did assist the motorist and traveling public with traffic control and fluid and debris recovery.

It appears that a silver Chevrolet Camaro was traveling on Banks Road and lost control for an unknown reason causing significant damage to the front and rear of the vehicle after striking a tree.  A contributing factor to this incident was the inclement weather, wet roads, and overall rainy condition.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
