Nature: Wash Down Resulting from Vehicle Accident

Location: Long Neck Road & John J. Williams Highway, Long Neck

On Friday, November 9, 2018, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a wash down assignment resulting from a vehicle accident at the intersection of Long Neck Road, Indian Mission Road, and John j. Williams Highway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris clean-up, traffic control, and incident mitigation.

It appears that a white Ford utility body truck and a silver Mazda sedan collided at the intersection of Long Neck Road, Indian Mission Road, and John J. Williams Highway

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.

One person was transported to the nearby medical facilities for additional observations.
