LADIES AUXILIARY TREASURER RETIRES The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce that it will be recognizing specific achievements by its volunteers and will highlight these accomplishments via periodic updates to our website. Most recently, our Ladies Auxiliary Treasurer – Elaine Kulp has decided to retire after serving 14 consecutive terms as the elected Treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary organization. Elaine has been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary participates at many functions and events as well as attending the Annual Delaware Conferences for the Ladies Auxiliary and Volunteer Firefighters. Elaine was awarded a Life Membership in 1999 for service to the organization. Over the years, Elaine credits her accomplishments as being able to participate with many successful fundraisers and events of the Ladies Auxiliary and by lending a helping hand at the buffet breakfast events, dinner events, Easter candy making and sales, Texas Holdem’ concessions and enjoying the BINGO fundraisers as well. Elaine has been a hard-working and dedicated volunteer who takes pride in watching the ladies auxiliary organization prosper. Elaine was presented with an Appreciation Gift from Ladies Auxiliary President Linda Cullen. Elaine plans to continue to help the volunteer fire service and ladies auxiliary with its various objectives but will spend more time with friends and family.
