Nature: Appliance Fire

Location: 35588 Joann Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday afternoon, October 14^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an appliance fire / structure fire on Joann Drive in the Mariner’s Cove development off of Long Neck Road. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-1 and Brush #80-0 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included identification and isolation of the source.  It was determined to be a malfunctioning dryer with no fire extension into the residential structure.  All remaining units not onscene were cancelled.
